Question 267: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the current practice of instructing patients to dispose of crutches once their ailment has passed and the rationale in public hospitals not seeking to recover such items; her estimates of the cost of this practice in a full year; and if she will examine if there are savings to be made in amending this policy in favour of a recycling or reuse initiative.
