Question 374: To ask the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport the number of persons in Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, Irish Sports Council, the National Museum of Ireland, the Irish Film Board and any other agency under the remit of her Department in terms of whole time equivalents employed prior to the introduction of the moratorium; the estimated number currently employed; the target number at which point the moratorium will end; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The moratorium on staffing in the public service was introduced from 27 March 2008 to end 2010. The table below sets out the numbers, in terms of whole time equivalents, employed in the State bodies under the aegis of my Department as at 31 December 2008 and 31 December 2009.
