Question 130: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if she will refer to the waiting list for ear, nose and throat consultant outpatient appointments at Temple Street Hospital Dublin 1 which are currently of 12 months duration; the reason for delays in appointments in other children's hospitals in Dublin for ENT; the number of ENT consultants working in Temple Street; if all are currently in work; the further reason there is such an unsatisfactory delay; her plans to improve the matter; and if the national treatment purchase fund could be used to improve matters and specifically in respect of a person (details supplied). The National Treatment Purchase Fund arranges treatment for patients who have been on a surgical waiting list for more than three months. It is open to the person in question or anyone acting on their behalf to contact the Fund directly in relation to their case.
