I am informed by the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) that the person referred to by the Deputy is the subject of a Family Reunification application made in January 2008.

The application was forwarded to the Office of the Refugee Applications Commissioner for investigation as required under Section 18 of the Refugee Act 1996.

This investigation was completed in April 2008 and a report was forwarded to INIS.

I am informed by the INIS that further documentation was requested in July 2009. To date, despite several reminders for same, the requested documentation has not been received.

The application will be considered further on receipt of same.

An application for Long Term Residency from the person concerned was received in my Department on 1 April, 2009.

Officials in that section inform me that a letter issued to the applicant's solicitor on the 19 April 2010 requesting further documents. Once this documentation has been received, processing of the application will continue.
