Provisions relating to vehicles carrying loads on public roads are contained in Article 96 (3) and (4) of the Road Traffic (Construction, Equipment and Use of Vehicles) Regulations, 1963, (S.I. 190 of 1963). Enforcement of these regulations is a matter for an Garda Síochána.
