Question 51: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation if he will clarify the position in relation to the Shanghai International Exhibition 2010; the investment, size and purpose of the pavilion; if it is run by State agencies or if it is leased out to commercial interests; the strategy for following up thereafter in order to capitalise on our investment from a tourism, industrial and education point of view; the level of the Irish agencies that are operating there; if marketing is outsourced; if it is intended to recruit local staff with the knowledge of the Irish scene in the subsequent marketing and sales campaign; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of An Taoiseach is responsible for coordinating the arrangements in relation to all aspects of our participation in Shanghai. My Department and the development agencies have engaged with the Department of An Taoiseach to ensure that any opportunities for any potential trade or investment benefits for Ireland, which could flow from our involvement in the Expo, will, of course, be pursued.
