Question 81: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the processing of medical cards applications; if existing cards are still valid until the renewal process including appeals is completed; the reason applications are refused to persons on basic social welfare payments only; if a common sense approach has been lost in the new system; and the further reason a renewal application in respect of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 has been refused.
