Question 113: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the arrangements that are in place for the contracting of interpretation services; if it is the case that travel time to and from the place at which interpretation is needed is remunerated at the same rate as the time spent interpreting; the arrangements that are in place to reduce such costs by recruiting locally; the name and location of each interpreting company contracted by the Health Service Executive in the past three years with a breakdown of the amount each was remunerated in each of these years by the HSE; the number of interpreting hours delivered by each of the companies in each of the years; the number of interpreting hours billed by each of the companies in each of the years.
