Question 439: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the amount of expenditure incurred in the period 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2009, by his Department and also offices, agencies and any other bodies falling within his remit, on the lease, rental or purchase of car parking spaces for use by civil and public servants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department's accommodation is provided by the Office of Public Works (OPW) and any costs arising for the provision of car parking are borne by that Office.
Arrangements regarding accommodation and car parking for the bodies under the aegis of the Department are a day-to-day operational matter for the bodies concerned.
