I am arranging for a reply to issue to the person in question in response to his letter. I should explain that the use of traps, snares and nets in relation to wildlife is governed by the Wildlife Act, 1976 (Approved Traps, Snares and Nets) Regulations 2003. My Department is currently reviewing these Regulations.
