Question 270: To ask the Minister for Transport if he will list every local authority that is participating in the cycle to work scheme; if he has had discussions with the local authorities that are not participating; the reason for their non-participation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Cycle to Work Scheme is optional and participation in it is a matter for decision by individual employers in accordance with guidance from the Revenue Commissioners under the direction of the Department of Finance. My Department has no information in relation to take up of the scheme in the local authority sector.
