Applications for funding under the Fishery Harbour & Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme are considered, subject to available Exchequer funding and overall national priorities, on an annual basis. Funding for approved projects must be drawn down before the end of the calendar year. Approval under the programme in a particular year does not imply a commitment of funding in any future year and any funding not drawn down within the calendar year of approval reverts to the Exchequer.

Every effort is made to facilitate ongoing projects but my Department is not in a position to guarantee funding for any particular project on a multi-annual basis. Because of the annual nature of the project funding and the fact that many of these projects are owned by and under the management of the local authorities concerned the department does not retain the type of information requested by the Deputy.
