Question 563: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if an organisation (details supplied) in County Cork will be entitled to have an application for financial assistance to deal with flood damage considered under the flood relief fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I assume the question refers to the supplementary funding I provided to local authorities in flood affected regions towards meeting the immediate and exceptional costs incurred in dealing with the recent flooding crisis. There is no fund available in my Department to financially assist owners of private properties or sports facilities in meeting the costs of flood damage.
