Question 583: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí in Cork City and county at the rank of sergeant, inspector, superintendent, chief superintendent and assistant commissioner who have retired since 1 January 2009 by division; and the number of the resulting vacancies which have been filled. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the personnel strength of the three divisions in Cork, as at 31 December 2008 & 2009 and the retirement figures for 2009 was as set out in the following table.
