Question 277: To ask the Minister for Defence the number of reports, documents and memos in his Department that have been translated into Irish since the commencement of the 30th Dáil; if he will give a breakdown of the reports and the cost per document of the translation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Since the commencement of the 30th Dáil, my Department has spent a total of €8,193.73 on translation of reports, documents and memos into Irish. These costs were incurred in order to implement the provisions of the Official Languages Act 2003. The costs are broken down in the following table: Translation Costs
