Question 163: To ask the Minister for Finance if he has received a joint submission from the three largest airlines in Ireland, Aer Lingus, Ryanair and Cityjet on the impact of the €10 air travel departure tax on passenger volumes and jobs in the aviation sector; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that I have received a report commissioned jointly by Aer Lingus, Ryanair and Cityjet from Amsterdam Aviation Economics in relation to the air travel tax. The report and the analysis therein, including those assumptions made by the authors, will require time to be examined by my officials.
