Question 273: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if she will ascertain the reason the Health Service Executive has refused to open up a ward (details supplied) in Mullingar General Hospital, County Westmeath, which would restore up to 26 beds to the acute beds provision and in the process ensure that this wing is properly resourced and staffed for 24 hours each day, seven days a week; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
