Question 297: To ask the Minister for Health and Children when staffing will be provided to open a special unit for intellectually disabled people which was officially opened (details supplied) on 17 January 2007; her views on whether it is difficult to explain to the committee who organised, raised funds and oversaw the building of this project the reason when the project has been fully agreed with the Health Service Executive that it lies vacant two years after the building was completed; if she will ensure that steps are taken to have the service provided; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
