Question 195: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 80 and 81 of 13 October 2009, if she made interventions to try to have the fund applied retrospectively to the workers in the textile industry in County Donegal; and if not, the reason for same. The relevant EU Regulation came into force on December 2006. The redundancies referred to took place before 2006 and hence the workers concerned would have been offered assistance under the training and upskilling arrangement in place under national rules.
