Question 51: To ask the Minister for Defence the action he will take in relation to the Ministerial Air Transport Service following the recommendation of the report of the special group on public service numbers and expenditure programmes that Departments be charged the full economic cost of this service in the interest of transparency and to provide opportunities for these services to be procured from private sector providers when this is more economical. Consideration of the recommendations arising from the report of the special group on public service numbers and expenditure programmes, and the decisions on all of the issues arising will be a matter for the Government, including the recommendation that Departments be charged the full economic cost of the Ministerial Air Transport Service.
