Question 61: To ask the Minister for Health and Children her views on the comments on pages 81, 82 and 83 of the Ombudsman Annual Report 2008 which state that there was a lack of consistency in deciding on domiciliary care allowance claims particularly in relation to granting the allowance to children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; the number of domiciliary care allowance applications received in respect of children with ADHD in 2006, 2007 and 2008; the number of persons who were approved at initial application stage and the number refused; the number for which the decision was overturned at appeal stage; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
