Question 403: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if she will reconsider her decision to withdraw funding for certain fertility drugs after three cycles of treatment for IVF patients, in view of the fact that the cost of this treatment is approximately €6,000 and the withdrawing of this funding will mean a further €4,000 to the cost for the couples; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that couples were already struggling financially with the costs involved; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
