Question 786: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number of staff in his Department, including all authorities, agencies or other institutions under the aegis of his Department, who have applied for the incentivised early retirement scheme and the incentivised career break scheme; the number who have been made redundant in the past 12 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To date, three members of staff in my Department have applied for the incentivised early retirement scheme (ISER). In addition, nine staff have applied for the incentivised career break scheme (ICBS), which closed for applications on 1 July 2009.
Two civilian drivers to the former Minister of State at my Department, ceased employment in my Department in 2009, following the recent reallocation of Minister of State assignments.
In relation to the Agencies under my Department's remit the following table shows the latest figures available.
