Question 292: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if she has reached a final agreement with the Irish Thalidomide Association and its representatives regarding an enhanced compensation package for the less than 40 surviving victims, who are now facing complex health problems, due to age and related factors; her views on whether Government negligence in the past was a contributory factor in the extent of the damage done to Irish citizens by thalidomide; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
