Question 355: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when he will publish the final report of the steering committee on the implementation of the national action plan against racism, which concluded its work at the end of December 2008; the reason the report has not been published to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I will shortly arrange to publish the final report of the Steering Group set up to oversee the implementation of the National Action Plan Against Racism on the new website for my Office which was launched on 25 June. The website is available at www.integration.ie. The Group states that, while the National Action Plan Against Racism was an ambitious plan and not everything was achieved " there has been a substantial penetration of anti-racist policies, programmes and activities and awareness raising initiatives". My Office will build on the achievements to date by strategic use of the funding streams available and the recommendations made by the Group will continue to inform decision making into the future.
