Data on mortality is compiled by the Central Statistics Office and published in the Annual and Quarterly Reports on Vital Statistics. Full year figures for 2008 are not yet available. Data for 2007 is available in the following table. However, figures are based on year of registration and are therefore subject to future revision. Death by suicide by province, county and sex: 2007
