Question 459: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if agencies, boards, quangos or other bodies within the remit of his Department have carried out advertising campaigns in the first six months of 2009 to promote policies or programmes being implemented by those agencies or by his Department; the details of the campaign or relevant programme; the cost of advertising in publications, broadcast advertising, online advertising, outdoor advertising and other forms of advertising and consultancy or production costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 459 and 460 together.

There were no advertising campaigns carried out by my Department during the first six months of 2009. The question of advertising campaigns by agencies within the remit of my Department is an operational matter for the bodies themselves.
