Question 189: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if children who are sent to residential institutions outside the State undergo educational assessments, social and adaptive and behavioural assessments, speech and language assessments, psychiatric assessments and sensory integration assessments prior to them leaving the State; the number and type of these tests that each child receives; and if any other mechanism is used to assess their abilities, capabilities and any underlying conditions in a multi-model framework before they are sent out of the State.
