Question 87: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if she will confirm that the arrangements to be put in place under recommendation 8.2 regarding the taking into care of a child, under Section 12 of the Child Care Act 1991, will include the simultaneous attendance of a Health Service Executive employee at the house, or other place, from where the gardaí intend to remove the child and that the handing over of the child to the custody of the HSE, as provided for under Section 12.3(1) of the Act will be made directly to an employee of the HSE and not to a person contracted by the HSE; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
