Question 107: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, in view of the need for the deployment of the maximum possible number of trained gardaí in the battle against criminal gangs, he will undertake a review of the use of trained detectives as drivers for Ministers and other designated persons, and the possible filling of at least some of these posts by civilian drivers; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
