Question 26: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that it cost the State €2,446,196 during 2008 to provide specialised residential care to children outside of the State and that this is an increase of €741,326 on the costs from the previous year; the reasons for this increase; the reason these children have not been provided with the care they need within the State; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
