Question 66: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reason capital assistance scheme funding administered by the Health Service Executive has been cancelled; when funding for an organisation (details supplied) in respect of a further 20 accommodation units under this fund will be granted, having previously been approved; the number of other projects cancelled under this scheme; if the fact that legal contracts were made, and commitments to those wishing to move into the units were made will be taken into account; and if she will make a statement on the matter. From the details supplied by the Deputy it appears that the Deputy is referring to the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) Funding which is provided by the Department of the Environment Heritage and Local Government and drawn down through the local authorities. Accordingly, this scheme does not fall under this Department's or the Health Service Executive's remit.
