Question 259: To ask the Minister for Transport his views on the fact that people are experiencing difficulties in getting through to the national car test centre in order to book an appointment; his further views on a case in which a NCT certificate is due to run out on 1 June 2009 but has had difficulty in getting through to the test centre to book an appointment, either by phone or through the website; the number of staff in the NCT centres; the waiting time for appointments; the reason for the difficulties in arranging appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
