At 1 January 2009, 17,397 payment claims remained to be processed to payment stage under the Farm Waste Management Scheme. To date in 2009, 8,703 payments totalling €120.3 million have been made to farmers under the Scheme. Processing of the remaining claims continues and it is not possible at this stage to provide estimates of the number of payments which remain to be made this year or of the number and value of the phased payments to be made in 2010 or 2011.
