I understand that Portmagee Youth Group is in discussions with Kerry County Council regarding acquiring a site for the purpose of developing a playground. The group, in conjunction with Kerry County Council, is considering a number of sites for the proposed playground, including an area of reclaimed foreshore.

No application for a foreshore lease has been received by my Department. Any application received in respect of the area of reclaimed foreshore will be processed by my Department in the normal way.
