As the Deputy will be aware, water and sewerage schemes under the CLÁR Programme were closed to new applications on 8 August 2008. All applications on hand at that date were processed and funding approved, where appropriate. Against the background of the current economic climate, I am reviewing the overall Programme, having regard to demand, the funding available and the level of outstanding commitments. In this context, I will consider the re-introduction of modified water and sewerage measures when circumstances allow.
