Of the legislation pertaining to the Department of Education & Science within the 2007-2009 the following legislation was enacted by the Oireachtas, or were regulations and orders which required Oireachtas approval: Education (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2007 (No. 9 of 2007) Recognition of Professional Qualifications (Directive 2005/36/EC) Regulations 2008 (S.I. 139/2008, Prn.A8/0609) Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse Act 2000 (Section 5) (Specified Period) Order 2008 (S.I. 155/2008, Prn.A8/0692) Employment Equality Act 1998 (Section 12) (Church of Ireland College of Education) Order 2008 (S.I. 251/2008, Prn.A8/0991) Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse Act 2000 (Section 5) (Specified Period) Order 2009 (S.I. 26/2009, Prn.A9/0138) The Recognition of Professional Qualifications Regulations are the only regulations which would not have been purely of national origin.
