Question 119: To ask the Minister for Health and Children her views, arising from recent media reports to the effect that it is intended to close the ambulance control centre at Monread Road, Naas, County Kildare and transfer same to Townsend Street, Dublin, on whether this is a recentralisation of services, removal of emphasis from the regions and a retrograde step involving travelling longer distances for ambulances in emergency situations; if she will reverse such proposals; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
