Question 323: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if, when the young farmers installation aid scheme is reintroduced at some stage in the future, those young farmers who will have gone past 35 years during the intervening period will be allowed to qualify at that time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Young Farmers' Installation Scheme was closed to new applicants on 14 October 2008. If and when the Scheme is reopened changes to the terms of the Scheme can be considered at that stage. I have no immediate plans to reopen entry to this scheme at this time.
