Question 139: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 852 and 853 of 24 March 2009, the progress made to date on agreeing a memorandum of understanding with the City and County Managers Association on the timely and efficient acquisition of school sites; when he expects the memorandum to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The development of a Memorandum of Understanding on the acquisition of school sites is a matter for the Department of Education and Science and the City and County Managers Association. I understand that discussions are ongoing with a view to finalising the terms of the Memorandum as soon as possible.
