Question 288: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the National Roads Authority, the Department of Transport or his Department retains all funds accruing from speeding or other motoring offences; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12897/09]

All moneys accruing from penalties for speeding or other motoring offences are surrendered to the Exchequer as extra exchequer receipts and are accounted for in the Appropriation Accounts.
