Question 133: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if it is the case that cells in Mountjoy Prison which have recently become empty are being kept free for people who may be arrested in possible civil unrest as a consequence of the budgetary measures being contemplated by the Government. I can advise the Deputy that Mountjoy Prison is currently operating at a level over its bed capacity. All cells in this institution that can be occupied are being occupied.
