Question 162: To ask the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the number of civil servants in his Department, broken down by gender, who are not subject to a compulsory retirement age of 65 years and who are free to continue at work after age 65 years in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions Act) 2004; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2004, there are 31 civil servants in my Department who are not subject to a compulsory retirement age of 65 years and who are free to continue at work after that age. These 31 civil servants can be broken down on a gender basis as follows: female, 14 ; male, 17.
