Question 136: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the number of civil servants in her Department, broken down by gender, who are not subject to a compulsory retirement age of 65 years and who are free to continue at work after age 65 years in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions Act) 2004; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The provisions set down in the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions Act) 2004 relate to new entrants to the Civil/Public Service from 1st April 2004, including officers who were previously employed in the public/civil service. The information sought by the Deputy is outlined in the table below. These figures do not include the Office of the Ombudsman for Children or staff seconded in to my Department from other government departments or public service bodies.
