Question 194: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number of freedom of information requests received by his Department each month in 2007 and 2008 in tabular format; the number acceded to; the number refused; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following tables show the details of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests handled by my Department during 2007 and 2008, in the format requested.

During 2007, 9 of the requests received were transferred to other Departments for response and 8 applicants withdrew their requests. During 2008, 6 requests were transferred to other Departments for response and 10 applicants withdrew their requests.
