Question 123: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the number of transfers of active farm holdings registered with his Department for the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 for persons retiring from farming; the breakdown of the number of those transfers which were between family members and to non-family members; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table shows a breakdown of applications received under the Early Retirement Scheme in 2007 and 2008 by farm holdings transferred to family members and non-family members.
