Question 107: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food his views on proposals for a statutory imposed code of conduct governing the relationship between supermarkets and their suppliers following the pork dioxin scare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4901/09]

I have no role in relation to contractual relationships between retail buyers and their suppliers. The Competition Authority, established under the 2002 Act has a role in relation to ensuring that markets operate freely and this includes the retail sector.
