Question 405: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if young farmers who had their farms transferred to them but had not applied for the installation aid grant will have their cases examined in the near future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3436/09]

Only fully completed applications made under the Young Farmers' Installation Scheme and received up to and including 14 October 2008 are being processed by my Department at present.

Due to budgetary constraints, I am not in a position at present to re-consider the decision to suspend entry to the Scheme.

Question 406: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Galway had inherited the farm from their father and was in the process of making application for the installation aid for young farmers when the scheme was withdrawn; if cases such as this are being examined in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
