Question 282: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if it is sufficient for an applicant under the farmer rate of payment for the native woodland scheme to have a herd number or are there other qualifying criteria required for qualification; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Possession of an active herd number in the year the plantation is established will entitle the applicant to the farmer rate of premium.
