I am pleased to advise the Deputy that the proposed project to provide a new school is in architectural planning and was recently authorised to proceed through Stage 2b (preparation of detailed design and tender documents). This documentation is currently awaited. When this is received it will be examined by my Department's Technical Section and the school authorities will be advised of developments. The progression of this and all large scale capital building projects in the Department will be considered in the context of the multi-annual School Building and Modernisation Programme. I am not in a position to say, at this stage, when construction is likely to commence on the project.
